Lloyds National XC Series R1: Cannock Chase

Several of the best cross country riders in the country descended on the beautiful Cannock Chase forest for round one of the National Series.

Cam Orr was an impressive winner of the elite open race, heading the podium alongside Max Greensill and Chris Dawson.

The elite women’s race saw Grace Inglis take top spot ahead of Bethany-Ann Jackson, with Eilish Gilbert rounding off the rostrum in third.

Max Standen began his 2025 campaign in the junior series with victory in the junior open race, ahead of Innes McDonald and Alex Hart.

There was a dominant performance from Evie Strachan who won the junior women’s race, with Zoe Roche and Maddie Moorhouse-Smith also reaching the podium after fine rides.

Lloyds National Disability and Para-cycling Series R1: Darley Moor Sport Centre, Derbyshire & Seagrave, Leicestershire

The two-day event began with a crit style race on the Saturday with a number of winners across classifications including Archie Atkinson in the MC4 classification, Amelia Cass taking full series points in the WC2 classification, and Christopher Wilkins piloted by Henry Latimer in the MB tandem class.

The TT in Seagrave on Sunday saw a number of riders in action, with Wilkins and Latimer once again showing their prowess to bag 30 more series points, and Cass also matching her result from Saturday.

Lloyds National BMX Series R1 & R2: Manchester Indoor BMX Arena

Round 1

Ross Cullen was victorious during round one of the 2025 BMX National Series, taking the win ahead of Jos Marham, with Harry Tanner sealing third position by a margin.

Freia Challis was a comfortable winner the Championship women’s race, winning by over a second from Emily Hutt after a confident ride. In a split-up field, Bella May earned her place on the podium in third position.

Round 2

Cullen continued his dominance of the open superclass races, winning all his races once again on his way to the final victory to wrap up a successful weekend. It was a close fought battle with Jos Marnham in the final, just edging it on the finish line. Taylor Hunt reached the podium on day two after a strong day of racing.

Challis continued her winning streak across the weekend as she took another National Series win after a consistent day of racing. She won by over a second from Sienna Harvey, with Bella May another second behind.

Junior Open and Women National Road Series R2: Witham Hall Junior Open 2 Day

The second round of the junior women’s series took stage in Lincolnshire over the weekend with Abigail Miller (Tofauti Everyone Active Majaco) winning all three stages – the 6km time trial, the 50km kermasse, and the 81km road race. She finished ahead of Arabella Blackburn (Shibden Apex RT) while the latter’s teammate Mabli Phillips, (Shibden Apex RT) rounded off the rostrum.

Max Hinds (FH MAS CAMS) narrowly won the junior open competition with just five seconds separating him from his teammate Leon Atkins after the times from the three events were combined. Evan Marsh (BCC Race Team) was in third place.

Hinds took the opening kermasse stage win ahead of Atkins and Marsh. Henry Hobbs took top honours in the TT during stage two, but Hinds' fourth place kept him ahead of the pack, with a fifth place finish in the road race, just thirty seconds  behind Oliver Gill – the race winner – saw him take full series points at the second round.

National Sprint Futures Series R1: Lee Valley

The new Series kicked off with a bang at London as the country’s best young stars took part in the new format. With three sprint events – standing lap, match sprint and keirin – gaining points to build a total score.

Among the first winners was Otley’s Archie Gill in the junior open category, producing a strong set of displays across the day to take the win ahead of Kristian Larigo and Ioan Hepburn.

Bronwen Howard-Rees beat her Wales Racing Academy) teammate Eve James on her way to the junior women series victory. Isobelle Batholomew was third.

George Harold narrowly beat Alistair Laurie in the youth open category with Jonathan Harju in third. Amelie Freeman was the youth girls winner with Fay Jackson and Eira Hughes-Lewis also on the podium.
